Installation start-up and stop 1) start-up: At first, feeding dry air into furnace directly, heating it to150, maintain 12 hours for removing water from the catalyst. Then open air-valve and gas-valve of the burner, turn on portfire, using mixture of hot air and gas to combustion heating, reducing the amount of air until the hot air/gas stoichiometric ratio to 4.2 4.5 when furnace temperature reach to 600, then gradually increased the catalyst layer temperature to 1000 1050, following to feed the ammonia to operate when the temperature stabilized. 2) Stop: Temporarily suspend: Can turn off thr inlet and outlet valve and cut off the gas supply to keep the temperature and pressure. Long time stop: Firstly stop to feeding the ammonia gas, but to feed the air for compeletely blowing the ammonia gas and let the natural cooling then close the valve. Stoped then to restart-up: Proceeding in accordance with the normal prodedures. 6. Packing and storage Catalyst always packing by steel drums or fiber drums linner with plastic film bag, storage in the air dry place, avoid to absorb moisture from the air then reduce the crushing strength.
